My advice is to read the “blue screen of death” discussion postings
I received my ASUS yesterday and returned it today. It wouldn’t even boot last night. Seems this is a pretty common issue if you read the postings below – something to do with…

    Quick Review
I finally gave in and ordered the 1000he. Two reason why I went with this model, 1) the reputation with Asus and 2) the 9.5 hours of battery life.

    Poor QC
I bought one in late March and I was satisfied with it so I purchased this one for my son. This one came with a bad hard drive — bad sectors, I guess.

A great little netbook with one flaw
I’ve had my 1000HE for about a month now and, overall, I like it very much. It’s very light, well-designed, and so far very reliable.

    Great travel companion
It is very good at starting quickly and shutting down. The long lasting battery eliminates the need to find a plug in the airport.

The “blue” model is NOT blue.
This review is only for those of you who buy things for their color. I wanted to order a purple computer from another company.

    I love this netbook!
Item arrived earlier than expected, which was nice. It is everything I hoped it would be and more. Battery life is a bit over stated; expect about eight hours of normal…
